Three Manhasset children decided to forego birthday presents this year to help the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation (LIAF) in Port Washington. In lieu of gifts, the Hannan children, Elizabeth 16, Jack, 14, and Catherine Rose, 9, requested that donations be made to LIAF in honor of William Hannan, their beloved “Pop Pop,” who passed away in April from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. He was a retired New York City detective. Together, the Hannan children raised $1,675 for LIAF.
