The Sewanhaka Central High School District would like to invite members of the community to attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies to commemorate the completed field renovations completed at the athletic fields at Elmont Memorial High School, Floral Park Memorial High School, H. Frank Carey High School, New Hyde Park Memorial High School and Sewanhaka High School.
The field work was made possible thank to the passage of the district’s May 2014 bond referendum. The ceremonies will take place on the stadium fields as follows:
• Sept. 12 – Elmont Memorial High School at 1:30 p.m. (prior to the 2 p.m. varsity football game)
• Sept. 19 – Floral Park Memorial High School (pictured) at 1:30 p.m. (prior to the 2 p.m. varsity football game) and New Hyde Park Memorial at 2:45 p.m. (during halftime)
• Sept. 26 – H. Frank Carey High School at 1:30 p.m. (prior to the 2 p.m. varsity football game) and Sewanhaka High School at 2:45 p.m. (during halftime).
