Church of Our Saviour Lutheran in Manhasset welcomed their new Director of Music/Organist, Judith Feuss, on Sunday, Sept. 27. A service of installation and a reception for Judith will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4. Judith is a resident of Port Washington and is well known in the community, having served as Director of Music/Organist at the Reform Church of Manhasset and as organist at the Congregational Church of Manhasset. She teaches general music and chorus at Northside Elementary School in Farmingdale and maintains an active studio of piano, voice and woodwind students. Highlights of her career include performing at the White House and the Vatican Pavillion at the World’s Fair.
Judith will be conducting the Chancel Choir and will be expanding the music program by initiating a new children’s choir curriculum. Judith remarked, “Church of Our Saviour Lutheran has a beautiful Casavant organ, magnificent stained glass windows and a warm, welcoming congregation. I am so excited for the opportunity to be a part of their rich music history.”
Anyone with a love of singing is welcome to join the choir. Minimal rehearsals will be fun and all are encouraged to attend.
