On Sept. 26, Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington (Residents) held the 16th annual Party in the Park in Blumenfeld Family Park.

“It was a terrific event!” said Residents Director of Development Lisa Grossman. “We had over 600 people there throughout the afternoon. The weather was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.”

This year the Party in the Park added a movement circle featuring family yoga with Yoga Life, agility tests with Next Gen Fitness and Parisi Speed School, “Spinal Simon Says” with Gold Coast Chiropractic, singing with Voice Academy and dancing with Dance Arts Centre. “These activities were a big hit,” said Grossman.

Another great addition to the day was planting mums and other flowers.

The event also included musical instruments, arts and crafts, live animals, a trackless train, carnival games, “batter up” baseball, basketball, miniature golf, singing lessons, building robots with Legos, face-painting, ices, cotton candy, fruit and more.

“I would also love to include a shout out to all of those individuals and businesses that sponsored our event,” Grossman said. “They all have a real love of this community and that is how things like this come together.”
