Incumbents Easily Reelected

The Town of North Hempstead incumbents were reelected to their seats in the Nov. 3 election. Voter turnout was strong, especially in ballots cast in the district attorney race. With 100 percent of votes in, Madeline Singas won with 57.93 percent of the vote over Kate Murray’s 42.01 percent for the vote.

Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth easily kept her seat with 67.70 percent of the vote over Anthony Bulzomi, with 32.26 percent fo the vote.

As the only Republican currently in the TONH, Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio squeaked out a victory with 51.77 percent of the vote over Emily Beys 48.21 percent of the vote.

Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman and County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton both handily won with 65.08 percent of the vote and 64.82 percent of the vote, respectively.

Total ballots cast in Nassau County were 199,838.

Nassau County District Attorney

Madeline Singas (winner): 113,110 votes; 57.93 percent of the vote

Kate Murray: 82,028 votes; 42.01 percent of the vote

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor

Judi Bosworth (winner): 20,1222 votes; 67.70 percent of the vote

Anthony Bulzomi: 9,587 votes; 32.26 percent of the vote

6th District Town of North Hempstead Councilperson

Dina De Giorgio (winner): 3,378 votes; 51.77 percent of the vote

Emily Beys: 3,146; 48.21 percent of the vote

Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes

Charles E. Berman: 18,947 votes; 65.08 percent of the vote

Scott D. Diamond: 10,157 votes; 34.89 percent of the vote

County Legislator 11th District

Delia M. DeRiggi-Whitton (winner): 7,331 votes; 64.82 percent of the vote

Matthew J. Connolly: 3,962 votes; 35.03 percent of the vote

James P. McCormack: 147,914 votes; 12.70 percent of the vote

Robert A. McDonald: 144,294 votes; 12.39 percent of the vote

Julianne T. Capetola: 143,316 votes; 12.31 percent of the vote

Robert F. Quinlan: 99,800 votes; 8.57 percent of the vote
