Join founder and managing director of the not-for-profit organization Long Island Funding for Education (L.I.F.E.) to discuss methods to maximize your family’s eligibility for college financial aid and minimize your out-of-pocket costs. Havana Nights Gala

Join in for an evening of music, dinner and dancing, from 7 to 11 p.m. A wonderful event honoring two esteemed Life Enrichment Center board members, Joan Kingsley and Richard Longworth. The evening will be fun and exciting. Salsa dancing, cigar rolling, vintage car display, silent auction and sweepstakes offerings. Cuban attire welcome. Veterans Day Dinner Dance

The Robert H. Spittel American Legion Post 1285 is holding a dinner dance at Sound View Caterers in Bayville, 45 Bayville Ave., 7 p.m. to midnight. Huge Tag Sale

Treasures culled from the North Shore homes of members and friends of Congregation Tifereth Israel (CTI) in Glen Cove will be on display at a giant tag sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the Sunday sale is free. A special two-hour sales preview is offered on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission for the preview sale is $8. Most remaining merchandise will be sold for a set fee per bag on Monday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CTI is located at 40 Hill St. in Glen Cove, at the intersection of Landing Road and Cottage Row.

Jump for Joy

Babies are free to play and explore in tunnels, ball pits and kid-sized equipment. Toddlers can have fun with costumes, musical instruments, props, parachutes and puppets. At the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Library, 10 to 10:45 a.m. for ages 9 months to 2 years, with adult); 11 a.m. to noon for ages 2 to 5, with adult. Registration is open to OB-EN residents and begins on Nov. 9 for non-residents, space permitting.

Fundraiser Play Performance

The award-winning play Random Us by Patrick Sherrard, will be hosted at Mill Neck Manor’s Deaf Education Center, with proceeds benefiting Mill Neck Services, Inc. The show runs from 7 to 9 p.m., with one 30-minute intermission. General admission tickets are $38 per person. Tickets for Patrons of Mill Neck Services include wine and cheese during intermission and are $100 per person. At 40 Frost Mill Rd. in Mill Neck.
