On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Business Card Exchange at Barrel Grapes in Munsey Park. The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Members of the Roslyn and Port Washington Chambers joined in to enjoy a fruitful evening of networking, wine and cheese and a lucky few came away with wonderful raffle prizes. Despite the torrential rain, a great many members braved the weather and all were thankful that it was only rain. Manhasset Chamber members, Marion Stainkamp, owner of Town & Country Flowers on Manhasset Avenue, and Sam Lund, owner of Barrel Grapes, worked closely together to host this wonderful annual event.

The guests were greeted at the door by Chamber members Diane Harragan, Katie Miller and Pat Grace. All were invited to register their name and business as well as to drop a business card for the raffle. Marion Mulderrig, president of the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, was also on hand to greet the crowd.
Stainkamp, the business card exchange guru, opened the event welcoming everyone. She opened up the floor and asked each business to speak. Each member introduced himself and spoke on their business and initiatives. The event highlighted marketing opportunities and business development exchanges by working together. “We had a super turnout (weather considered),” said Stainkamp. A lovely buffet was furnished by Lund as well as a delightful cheese platter donated by Red Maple Market, a new store which recently opened its doors in Roslyn. A wonderful Chocolate Works tray of chocolate delights and gift certificates from Barrel Grapes and Town & Country Flowers were part of the raffle prizes donated.
