A Sands Point cardiologist arrested earlier this year for an alleged murder-for-hire scheme was arraigned at the Nassau County Court in Mineola on Nov. 9. The defendant pleaded not guilty and his bail was continued.
He is due to reappear in court on Dec. 9.
After the arraignment Acting Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas, Acting Nassau County Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter and DEA officials discussed new grand jury indictment charges against the defendant.
