Metropolitan Commercial Bank will be holding a toy drive at its Great Neck banking center from Nov. 30 through Dec. 23 as part of its celebration for opening its first Long Island location. Unopened toys, games and other gifts for children can be dropped off at 111 Great Neck Rd. The gifts will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. For the children of families who celebrate Hanukkah at Ronald McDonald House, the bank will provide gifts for each of the eight nights.
“This toy drive is our way of bringing the community closer together and providing the people of Long Island with a platform to give back to those in need,” said Mark DeFazio, president and CEO of the banking center. “Providing personalized customer service and helping people achieve their financial goals are core values at Metropolitan Commercial Bank.”
In the spirit of serving the community and giving the children of the Ronald McDonald House gifts this holiday season, the bank will match up to $10,000 in cash donations to purchase additional gifts. The toy drive is one of the many community-focused programs Metropolitan Commercial Bank plans to hold on Long Island once it officially opens its doors.
“Long Island, especially the Great Neck area, is an extremely caring and close community. We are thrilled to now be a part of it,” said DeFazio. “There is so much happening here and we take great pride in finding ways to promote the great things being done by Long Island schools, artists, successful businesses and advocacy organizations. Coming to Long Island is an incredible milestone for our company, and we look forward to serving the people of Great Neck and the surrounding communities for years to come.”
