Bach To Rock Launches The TEEN JAM

Bach to Rock (B2R) music school in Port Washington has introduced a unique new program just for teens to jam in a professional setting with other teens. The TEEN JAM, which is made possible by a grant from HEARTS (Helping Enrich the Arts in Port Washington), is designed to provide a fun, safe, creative environment for teens who love music to meet and play together. Any teen singers and musicians ages 13 to 18 are invited to join the TEEN JAM. It’s a way for teenagers to play and write music, meet other teen musicians under the guidance of Bach to Rock’s instructors and hone their skills in B2R’s state-of-the-art facility. It’s a great opportunity for young musicians to learn from more experienced musicians and be musically creative in a fun group setting with their peers. B2R is thrilled to partner with HEARTS.

Elana Hayden, site director of Bach to Rock, said, “At past TEEN JAM sessions we’ve had students form a band, write original music, jam with musicians from existing local bands and learn numerous current and classic cover tunes. It’s so exciting to see the students having fun and rocking out. Their skills improve with each jam session and you can see them becoming more confident every week.”bachtorock012716C Bachtorock012716B Bachtorock0012616A
