The friendship between The Bryant Library and The Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) has resulted in the annual Food for Fines event, in which both the library staff and INN volunteers work together to collect dry boxed and canned foods for the guests at the Mary Brennan soup kitchen.
Food for Fines has been an annual food drive from Roslyn residents, who generously gave food in lieu of paying for their book fines, for the designated week.
This year, the INN was given a special treat by The Friends of the Bryant Library, as they donated a new collection of books for the guests to enjoy reading. Everyone is already looking forward to next year’s event.
