A Brooklyn man who had broken into a Mineola home in January was arrested by police on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 11:50 p.m.
According to Nassau County police, a female victim returned to her Princeton Street, Brooklyn home, and observed a male exiting a window on the side of her house with a bag containing personal property from the home. The Major Case Burglary Pattern Squad in conjunction with the Third Squad conducted an investigation and on Saturday, Feb. 20, Mamuka Bokuchava, 31, was located on Cropsey Avenue and placed under arrest. A further investigation revealed Bokuchava had entered a Roselle Street, Mineola, home on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and removed personal property including cash and jewelry and on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 he entered a Lipton Lane, Williston Park home and removed personal property including cash and jewelry. The investigation is ongoing.
Bokuchava is charged with three counts of second degree burglary and was scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 21 at First District Court in Hempstead.
