The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Richmond Hill man for an assault that occurred on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 12:40 a.m. in Flower Hill.
According to detectives, Mohamed H. Yacoob, 47 of 10-315 135th St. was involved in a verbal argument with a male co-worker at Long Island Fire Doors located at 5 Harbor Park Dr. As the argument escalated Yacoob picked up a metal pipe and struck the victim in the face and head several times. Third Precinct officers responded to the location and placed the defendant under arrest without incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
Yacoob is charged with Assault 1st degree and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th degree. He was arraigned on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
