Robbery On Main Street

On Saturday, May 14, at 12:24 in the afternoon, two men and one woman were placed under arrest for armed robbery on Main Street.

According to Port Washington Deputy Police Chief Robert Del Muro, “Two male subjects aided by a female assaulted and robbed the victim of 150, 30 mg. oxycodone pills. The male subjects punched the victim in the face and head and threatened him with an imitation (pellet) handgun. During the struggle, the male subjects also threatened the victim with a real shotgun. This occurred in the Town of North Hempstead parking lot on Main Street opposite Belleview Avenue. The female assisted as a lookout and to let the two male subjects know when she saw the victim leave the pharmacy. The three subjects knew that the victim was going to pick up his prescription of 150 oxycodone pills. The assailants also knew the victim had gotten a new prescription and were using a portable radio to communicate with the female on the street to let them know which way the victim exited the store.”

“It was a busy Saturday afternoon in town, so they were seen,” said Del Muro. The victim and assailants have been in trouble with drugs in Port Washington for years, according to Del Muro.
