Kim Kaiman Wins Emmy Award

Kim Kaiman is officially an Emmy award winner. The actress recently won the award during the 59th Annual New York Emmy Awards presented on Saturday, March 19, by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Kaiman was featured in Time Warner Cable’s NY1 Noticias PSA, which won for “En NY Los Latinos Somos 1” or “We are One,” under the “Community/Public Service” category. The PSA delivered a strong message about the diversity of Hispanic Americans in New York.

“I felt extremely honored to have been chosen out of hundreds of people who auditioned, to participate in such a meaningful PSA, especially since this resonated for me personally with its message,” said Kaiman. “All too often I have been told ‘You’re Hispanic? Really? You don’t look Hispanic,’ and yet every time I look in the mirror, that is exactly what I see, a very proud Hispanic woman.”

Kim can be seen on TV where she starred in an episode of “The Mind of a Murderer” on Investigation Discovery, and has acted in community theatre for more than 25 years as a hobby. She is the wife of former North Hempstead Town Supervisor and current Congressional Candidate for NY District #3, Jon Kaiman, and is the mother to two sons and a daughter.Kim Kaiman Emmy
