Children’s Center Honors Port’s World Class Community

The Port Washington Children’s Center (PWCC) held its Annual Scholarship Gala Celebration in May at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club. This year’s theme, A World Class Community…It might be a small town but it’s a child’s whole world, honored members of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, Port Washington Police District and Port Washington Teacher’s Association, all exemplary organizations that support our wonderful community. The event was underwritten by the generosity of the Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation. Proceeds will support the many programs of the Children’s Center, including this summer’s Port Day Camp and scholarships to families in need, helping to provide safe, affordable childcare for Port’s working families.
