Sewanhaka Central High School District students’ academic and athletic achievements were recently honored by administrators and board members at Sewanhaka High School.
The evening kicked off with Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Cheryl Champ, who announced the academic honors for students earning awards at the Future Business Leaders of America State Spring Leadership Conference, the Nassau County Long Island Math Fair and on national language exams. Following the academic accolades, Athletic Director Matt McLees took to the stage to recognize student-athletes who participated in fall, winter and spring sports throughout the district.
All of the honorees were greeted by their respective building principals and given a certificate of recognition.
