Noon to 4 p.m. Great Neck Rite Aid Pharmacy will be on site to offer free flu shots to patrons 18 years and older. Present your insurance card or pay $32 on the spot. No registration necessary.
Wine Glass Painting With Irene Marchese
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Irene Marchese returns to the Floral Park Library for her acclaimed wine glass painting program. The theme is grapes (of course), and the $15 materials fee covers four wine glasses and a gift bag. Register at the adult reference desk and pay the $15 fee with your registration.

Octoberfest
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Join Chef Barbara Sheridan for a fun and informative Oktoberfest cooking demonstration. The menu is a blend of flavors inspired by different regions in Germany during the fall season. In this class, you’ll be shown how to make spiced autumn soup, pork tenderloin with apple maple cognac sauce, Bavarian noodles, red cabbage and rustic apple tart. Samples will be served afterwards.

Karmic Evolution
7 to 8:30 p.m. This session, facilitated by Maria D’Andrea, will not only explain what karma is, but also how it really works, what’s misinformation and what’s truth, among other issues. You’ll be taught how to change your karma from negative to positive, whether created in this lifetime or from past lives. Whatever negative experience you may have had in your past can be overcome and transmuted.
