Free Holiday Spectacular Concert

The Concert Pops Orchestra will be performing in Nassau County’s “Holiday Spectacular” concert on Sunday, November 27th at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex at Hofstra University. Guest vocalists will be soprano Deana Verone and tenor Christopher Macchio.  Special Guest Vocalist will be “Sal the Voice” Valentinetti, Season 11 finalist on America’s Got Talent.  Additionally, the Five Towns College Chamber Singers and the Glen Cove Select Choir will perform.   The 90-minute show will begin at 5:00 p.m. on November 27th.

 

Admission will be free, but tickets are required. Free tickets are available at all Bethpage Federal Credit Union branches, as well as at the Administration Building at Eisenhower Park, while supplies last. The concert is co-sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Hofstra University and Nassau County Parks.

 

The Concert Pops Orchestra, featuring forty-three of New York’s most talented musicians, many of whom regularly perform on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera, has been recognized by the New York State Council for the Arts for its quality public performances for more than two decades.  Appearing regularly at concert venues in New York and Florida, the Pops have performed for guest artists Marvin Hamlisch, the Manhattan Rhythm Kings, Broadway’s Tommy Tune, Betty Buckley, Joel Grey, Idina Menzel, Linda Eder, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bernadette Peters, Kelli O’Hara and Nathan Gunn.  The Pops was selected to accompany Disney Animation’s “Tales as Olde as Time” and the “Magic of Disney” in concert.
