Mark your calendars for this year’s “Happy Camper” Book Fair. The Manhasset SCA invites you to the Munsey Park Elementary School Library and Shelter Rock Elementary School where “S’more fun with books! Kick-off the event on Family Night Monday, March 6, for both schools.
At Munsey Park, come meet New York Times bestselling author Max Brallier. Brallier is best known for The Last Kids on Earth, Galactic Hot Dogs and the Eerie Elementary series under his pen name Jack Chabert. Don’t miss having your books signed during Family Night by this must see author between 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will also be great giveaways and free tickets to win a fun raffle gift basket.
At Shelter Rock Elementary, Family Night begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. so parents and children have plenty of time to browse and enjoy the opening. Tommy Greenwalk is the fabulously popular Crimebiters and Charlie Joe Jackson series of books. He will be on hand to sign his latest Crimebiters book It’s a Doggy Dog World.
The book fair continues throughout the week and a Pre-School Event is planned for each school on Thursday, March 9, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.. Bring little ones to check out their future stomping grounds and get a jump on reading! Parents are also invited to join their child’s class as they visit the Fair throughout the week.
