Jamie Brenner, the author of The Forever Summer, will discuss her endearing and emotional novel at Temple Judea on Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. This event, which is open to the community, is sponsored by WRJ Sisterhood of Temple Judea in partnership with the Sid Jacobson JCC and the Jewish Book Council.
Secrets, mistakes, and revelations abound in The Forever Summer. Brenner explores the meaning of family, the impact of long-held secrets on both the secret keeper and those affected by the secret, and the joy of friendship. The characters are flawed, complex, complicated, with contrasts, similarities and differences. Brenner’s descriptive manner cleverly unfolds secrets we do not see coming.
Brenner will take questions and sign her book following her presentation. Admission is $10 per person and books are available for $25 at the temple office. Make checks payable to WRJ Sisterhood and mail or drop off at the temple office at Temple Judea at 333 Searingtown Rd., Manhasset, NY 11030. RSVP to Temple Judea at 516-621-8049 or email templeoffice@temple-judea.com. All are welcome.
