“The Row for Autism is a wonderful event which showcases our beautiful waterfront, and supports those with autism in our local community,” said Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio.
The event was created with the goal of combining two interests: the love of rowing and the need to raise awareness about the growing number of children with autism.
The proceeds from the event go toward Port Rowing’s inclusion program which includes funding adaptive rowing equipment, which allows a disabled teenager to be paired with a peer mentor. Residents can donate in person at the event, or online at www.PortRowing.com.
