Port Washington Public Library Nautical Advisory Council

The mission of the Nautical Center of the Port Washington Public Library is to serve as an archive and a forum of the history of boating and yachting and the facilities, which serve them on Manhasset Bay. Books, periodicals, photographs, memorabilia, manuscripts, maps, films, audio and video tapes, logs, charts, artifacts and other primary source material are collected. In addition, the Nautical Center collects classic works in the field of boating and yachting and provides access to maps, charts and cruising guides primarily of the Northeast and the Atlantic Coast.
