Jason Mohabir
Mohabir has joined the Uniondale-based law firm of Rivkin Radler LLP, as an associate in the real estate, zoning and land use practice group. His practice encompasses a wide array of complex commercial and real estate litigation, including contract disputes, rent regulation disputes, warranty of habitability violations, torts, special proceedings and landlord-tenant disputes.
Kerri Ann Souto
The LGBT Network appointed Souto as the Hauppauge-based nonprofit advocacy group’s government and community affairs manager. She previously spent four years as the director of intergovernmental relations and community outreach for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and before that worked in the Suffolk County Executive’s Office, and the Suffolk County Police Department leading special projects, and assisting with policy advocacy.
Dr. Peter Silver
Northwell Health appointed Dr. Peter Silver as senior vice president and chief quality officer. He spent the last 35 years in the health system as part of the Department of Pediatrics, serving most recently as medical director of Cohen Children’s Medical Center as part of a leadership team that helped Cohen Children’s achieve its status as the top children’s hospital in New York State and directed Northwell’s pediatric response to COVID-19.
Gayle Gerson
The Garden City-based law firm of Jaspan Schlesinger LLP appointed Gerson as partner in the litigation practice group. She focuses her practice on complex commercial disputes, including disputes between partners, shareholders of closely-held corporations and members of limited liability companies. She also represents secured and unsecured creditors, as well as chapter 7 trustees, seeking to recover assets from the bankruptcy estates of corporate and individual debtors.
Peter Crescenti
Crescenti has been named the first media relations specialist at Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank, where he will oversee publicity efforts at the organization’s Hauppauge headquarters and its six Nassau-Suffolk satellite locations. Most recently he was media relations manager at Farmingdale State College, and communications manager at Scrap-It! Technologies, in Massapequa.
Michelle Laux
The Connetquot Central School District appointed Laux as interim director of English language arts. She is a familiar face in the Connetquot School District community where she has worked as a high school assistant principal since 2017, maintaining all aspects of 10th grade administrative responsibilities. Prior to her tenure at Connetquot High School, Ms. Laux served as assistant principal at Wyandanch Memorial High School.
Dr. Alan Wong
Mount Sinai South Nassau named Dr. Wong as chief medical officer and senior vice president for medical affairs to help oversee ongoing efforts to combat COVID-19 and chart a course for post-pandemic initiatives. In those roles, he will be responsible for overseeing all operations related to the effective and efficient delivery of quality care. He will also oversee strategic planning as well as monitoring the effectiveness of management practices and productivity indicators.
Renée G. Pardo
Pardo has joined Carle Place-based Wisselman Harounian Family Law’s family law and estate planning practice. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and licensed in both Texas and New York. Pardo has decades of trial experience in Family Court, custody, and criminal law matters. She is also experienced in wills, trusts and estates.
