Floral Park-Bellerose District welcomes new administrators

Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District is pleased to announce that five new administrators have been appointed.

Dr. Tara Davidson is now the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, Linda Macias is the assistant superintendent of business, Danielle Mammolito is the director of curriculum and instructional technology, Sharon Meyer is the director of special education and Bridget Stegmeier is the assistant principal of Floral Park-Bellerose School. All five were recognized at the board of education meeting on July 7.

The district welcomes new faces Dr. Davidson, Mrs. Macias and Mrs. Mammolito. Dr. Davidson previously served as a deputy superintendent in the New York City Public Schools. She has also served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, field support liaison and consultant in the New York City Public Schools. She received her bachelor’s in psychology from Davidson College, her master’s from City College of New York and her Ph.D. from Rutgers University. Mrs. Macias has held previous roles as assistant superintendent of business at the East Ramapo Central School District, and as school business administrators for Hempstead Public Schools and Westbury Union Free School District. She holds a school district leadership certification from the College of Saint Rose, a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in special education, and a Master of Business Administration from Touro University. She is working on earning her Doctor of Education degree from St. John’s University. Mrs. Mammolito has held positions as a technology learning and instructional coach and assistant principal. She received her bachelor’s at the State University of New York at Albany and her master’s in education at Cambridge College in Massachusetts.

Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Stegmeier are familiar faces in the district. Mrs. Meyer has been with the district since 1997, starting as a special education teacher. In 2014, she was promoted to the role of curriculum coordinator. Additionally, she managed the district’s academic intervention program that provides reading, writing and math services to students. She received her bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and her master’s

from St. John’s University. Mrs. Stegmeier has worked in the district since 2005 as a special education teacher. During the pandemic, she also served as a technology coach. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Saint Mary College and a master’s from Queens College.
