Oyster Bay High School Track Team Wins Big

For the second year in a row the boys winter track team from Oyster Bay High School have been crowned conference champions. The team earned an impressive 140 points to win the Conference 6 Championship Meet with multiple members of the team going on to receive All-Conference honors. Junior long jumper Anthony Izuierdo, sophomore 3200-meter runner Zach Greene, and sophomore high jumper Andrew Jennette were among those who earned All-Conference honors from the team.
Oyster Bay boy’s winter track coach Christopher Weber gave his praise to the team, stating “It was an amazing night on the track,” and “Congratulations to the entire team.”
It was an amazing night on the track which propelled the team to their second conference championship in just 2 years. Senior Chris Tardugno and junior Austin Aschettino each took first in multiple disciplines. Also helping the team to victory was senior Chris Dean who broke his own school record to finish second in the 55-meters.
