On April 20th, 2024, Gemelli’s at Bergen Point in West Babylon served as the vibrant backdrop for a momentous occasion—the Remington Foundation fundraiser which is a non-profit organization.
This event, born from the shared vision of canine welfare, aimed to secure a permanent endowment at Cornell University for the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center. Partnering with the established Remington Fund, established by Ceanna and Randy Augusiewicz, which laid its foundation in 2017, this fundraiser represented a culmination of years of dedication and passion for the welfare of our four-legged companions.
Since its inception, the Remington Fund has been a beacon of hope for countless families and their beloved dogs, providing crucial assistance to over 100 in need. With each generous contribution made at the fundraiser, attendees not only embraced the spirit of philanthropy but also cemented a legacy of compassion that will endure for generations to come. As the sun set on this remarkable day, it marked not just the end of an event, but the beginning of a promising future for canine sports medicine and rehabilitation at Cornell University, thanks to the unwavering support of the family, friends, community, and volunteers.
