Family Yoga

6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Locust Valley Public Library Community Room) Join yoga instructor Kristen for an energizing and relaxing yoga class. Kristen has worked with families throughout her career in nonprofit management and now shares her personal love of yoga with all children and adults as a way to play, recharge, connect and relax. Ballet with Cinderella

10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. (Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library Community Room) A professionally trained dancer, Royal Princess Prep’s Cinderella will offer a ballet class to kids ages 3-7. This full ballet class is complete with proper technique and free dance at the end. At the end of the class, Cinderella will pose for pictures with your little one! Teen Showcase: Jazz Hands Children’s Theatre “Mean Girls”

7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Glen Cove Village Square) Before Downtown Sounds begins, students from the Jazz Hands Children’s Theatre production of “Mean Girls” will perform. This is just one way that the Glen Cove Business Improvement District aims to incorporate the community into their events. Come support young, local talent and stay afterwards for the concert series.

Downtown Sounds

7:30 p.m. (Glen Cove Village Square) The Glen Cove Business Improvement District began its annual concert series on July 5. Every Friday this summer, there will be a free concert for residents in the Village Square. This Friday, Arena Rock Tribute will play. Streets will be closed down for patrons to safely enjoy the concert series and restaurants will stay open to serve patrons. Vendors will attend the event as well. Morgan Park Summer Music Festival

7:00 p.m. (Morgan Memorial Park, Glen Cove) On July 21, the Morgan Park Music Festival continues its concert series with the Music of George Harrison performed by Tom Cavanagh. The event is sponsored by the Glen Cove Neighborhood Association and will feature Harrison’s greatest hits.

Movies By Moonlight: Trolls Band Together

6:00 p.m. (Harry Tappen Beach, Glenwood Landing) The Town of Oyster Bay is hosting Movies By Moonlight this summer. On August 1, Harry Tappen Beach will play Trolls Band Together. Seating and pre-movie activities begin at 6:00 p.m., which will include character meet-and-greets, inflatable toys and games. Campfire Cookie Decorating for Teens

7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (The Glen Cove Public Library Children’s Room) This event is open for grades 6 through 12. Teens will decorate cam[fire and adventure themed cookies together. Registration is available online at www.glencovelibrary.com

44th Annual RBS Golf Invitational

All Day (Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley) Join the Long Island Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence (LICADD) for its annual golf invitational. There will be brunch, receptions, silent auctions, driving range reservations, dinner and awards throughout the day. Proper attire and soft spikes are required. The money fundraised for LICADD will go towards the services they provide, including interventions, clinical services, support groups, etc. Please RSVP by July 26 on the council’s website, www.licadd.org.
