Golf
The five-week season, one hour per week curriculum will consist of the following:
Week #1: Introduction to full swing irons fundamentals
Week #2: Introduction to full swing wood fundamentals
Week #3: Introduction to putting fundamentals
Week #4: Introduction to chipping fundamentals
Week #5: Review of full swing. Also covers etiquette, rules, team building and more. Program held at the Gold Coast Golf Center, One South Woods Road, Woodbury.
Program runs July and August; weeknight and weekend sessions available. Maximum 10 students per session. Grades 2-12. PGA-certified instructors. Fee $100
Horseback Riding
Grades 1 and up, come join the exciting instructional riding program, which will be a first-come-first-served registration basis and include the fun-damentals of riding, tacking and horsemanship.
The program will be held at the Indian Head Ranch on Jericho Tpke. in Huntington and will consist of six, half-hour, once weekly sessions available both on selected weekday afternoons and weekends. Four students per class. Program runs July and August. Fee $185.
Tennis
Ages 7-15 years. COED lessons on modern indoor tennis courts, professional tennis instruction. Bring racquet and sneakers (balls will be provided). Classes held at Sportime, 101 Norcross Ave., Bethpage. Ten students per class. These are considered beginner classes although everyone is welcome to join. Classes on Tuesday evenings starting in early July and ending the last week of August. Program runs for eight weekly, one-hour sessions. Age groups are 7-9 and 10 and older. Classes will be held from 6 to 7 p.m.
There are no makeup classes unless a class is canceled. Fee $105.
