Congratulations to Coach Mike Bonsignore for winning the Doris Uhlig Award at the Island Trees Athletic Banquet. This award is presented to one Island Trees coach every year for his/her outstanding commitment to the athletic program.
Bonsignore is the head coach for the varsity football team, which made its first playoff appearance in many years. He plans to continue the trend and is looking forward to the 2010 season on the new turf field. In addition, Bonsignore is the assistant coach for the girl’s varsity softball team who were conference II champions this year.
