Island Trees Baseball, along with President Nick Sguigna, would like to congratulate the 8-year-old All Star team, who recently beat Plainedge with a score of 6-3 to become the Babe Ruth District Champions. Island Trees Baseball would like to wish them good luck in the state competition.
The Bulldogs fought back from a 3-1 deficit with a four-run fourth inning. Jackson Bonade delivered a big two-run single to put the Bulldogs ahead for good. Strong pitching and solid defense held Plainedge in check the remainder of the game.
