Music Under the Stars
The Long Island Philharmonic and Music Director David Stewart Wiley will present free outdoor summer parks concerts. Music Under the Stars will take place on Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. This summer’s theme, “Classics Around the World,” will bring all-time favorites to the stage, from Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Bizet’s March of the Toreadors from Carmen to Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever.

Outdoor Movies
Movies will be shown on the giant screen at the Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park (located near parking fields 6 and 6A), East Meadow. Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms, and a convenient reserved location on the hill. Assistive hearing devices are available for the hearing impaired. There is no formal seating at Lakeside Theatre, so moviegoers are urged to bring folding chairs. The movies will begin at dusk. Parents of boys in first – fifth grades who are interested in joining the Cub Scouts at Temple B’nai Torah, Wantagh, should contact Jeff Cohen at 205-1589.
