Sponsored by Maestro Music & Wellness Center will have its regular meeting at 2 p.m. at the center, 160 Center Ln., Levittown. This month, continuing its series on The Finer Points of Music, Carol Stumpf will present “The History of “L.I.G.H.T.S., A thespian group established in the early 1900’s in Freeport” with discussion following. Those in attendance are invited to stay for some good music provided by members who have learned to play using the Lowrey Music Method. All are invited to attend. Mardi Gras Gift Basket Auction
Come enjoy our festive Mardi Gras Gift Basket Auction at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3434 Hempstead Tpke., at 7:30 p.m. There will be over 100 gift baskets or gift certificates to be won. There’s a special children’s section as well. There’s something for everyone. There will be music, refreshments, a festive atmosphere and lots and lots of prizes to win. Stroke Support Groups
Stroke Life Society is a community organization of survivors and co-survivors in the pursuit of living and helping others. A stroke can be very isolating. A nonprofit organization that will teach kids, ages 8 to 88, to play an instrument and have fun parading, performing, competing and many social events. Free of charge. Exhibit of Early Levittown Memorabilia
In celebration of 50 years of Levittown, the Levittown Historical Society presents the exhibit “Levittown, the American Dream 1947-1957.” Filled with early Levittown memorabilia, it is a “walk down Memory Lane.” Includes: WWII Levitt House, appliances, photographs, furniture, wedding gifts, toys and memories.
