Island Trees Baseball Holds Scoreboard Ribbon-cutting Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 11 Island Trees officially welcomed the arrival of a new baseball scoreboard for Island Trees High School. The new scoreboard, which has been described as the “best” high school scoreboard in Nassau County, will enable our baseball spectators to follow the score inning by inning, as well as, all of the balls, strikes, and outs throughout the course of the game. Dennis Dunne, elected to the Nassau County legislature in 1997 and who has been an incredible friend to the Island Trees school community for years, facilitated this endeavor for Island Trees High School. In addition, Joseph Belesi, recently elected to serve as a Nassau County legislator in the Island Trees area, was integral in securing the funding for this project.
