Songs from the Silver Screen
Presented by the Long Island Cabaret Theatre which is celebrating over 28 years of music. The group will present this musical cabaret of movie songs with 30 talented singers at 8 p.m. at Temple B’nai Torah, Jerusalem Ave., Wantagh. Grand Opening Last Hope Animal Rescue Shelter
Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. has been helping homeless dogs and cats on Long Island for 30 years and has just expanded its services by moving into a larger facility. The festivities for the “official” grand opening of the Last Animal Rescue Wantagh Adoption Center, 3300 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh (the former Bideawee) on June 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center. There will be a blessing of the facility and animals followed by tours, balloons, face painting, raffles, a jewelry sale and more. The celebration continues on June 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a brunch at George Martin’s Grill Fire, 22 W. Sunrise Hwy., Merrick. Cost $45 per person. Seating is limited. Send payment with name, address, phone number and email to Last Hope. Your name will be placed on a guest list at the door. No tickets will be mailed. Free Veteran Pancake Breakfast

Bird Walk at Mill Pond Park

Levittown Historical Society and Museum
The organization collects, preserves and educates history of Levittown. Holds seven yearly general meetings in the Community Room of the Levittown Library and maintains the museum located in the Levittown Memorial Education Center, Room 10, 150 Abbey Ln., Levittown. The museum contains history of Levittown, WWII memorabilia, artifacts from the Levitt houses, toys, furniture, clothing of the ‘40s and ‘50s, replicas of the Levitt kitchen and the Levitt ranch living room.
