Mitchel Mikail Klinkowitz, age 95, passed away March 10, 2012 at home. Born Nov. 4, 1916, in New York City, the son of Anthony Klinkowitz and Olga (Petrochevitz) Klinkowitz.
Mike was a WWII Army veteran who served his country in the South Pacific. He retired from Con Edison of New York after a career of over 35 years. His family came first in his life, but Mike also enjoyed golfing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Antonia “Nina” Klinkowitz; son Mitch (Shane) Klinkowitz; daughter Linda (David) Estes; three grandsons, Matthew Moeller (Valerie Wojonowich), Rory (Starr) Moeller, Mark Moeller (Tiffany Rae); and one great-granddaughter to be, Nora.
Funeral services were held March 15 at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, Charlotte, NC. Visitations were held at McEwen Funeral Service. Pineville Chapel, Charlotte, NC.
