Labyrinth Has Done It Again

Once again, Labyrinth Art and Literary Magazine 2012 has been recognized by the National Scholastic Press Association. In their 18th edition of Best of the High School Press a double-page spread was awarded to Farmingdale High School for Best of Literary Magazine Content.

The page features a free verse titled “Lifter or Leaner” written by Alex Wisz, and paired with a photograph by Lindsay Cavallo. The selected winning pages in this edition were chosen from over 7,000 images uploaded for this contest.

The winning designs and pages publicize the exceptional art, design and journalism found in high school magazines, like Labyrinth, across the nation.

Ms. Paladino and Ms. Nicholas, Farmingdale High School Labyrinth advisors, submitted the magazine to National Scholastic Press for review. Not only did one of Labyrinth’s pages win Best Magazine Content, but also the magazine as a whole won First Class Rating and three Marks of Distinction for Writing and Editing, Photography, Art, Graphics, Typography and Layout/Design.
