Veterans Barbecue

Nassau County will host the third annual veterans’ barbecue, rain or shine on Sept. 20 at Eisenhower Park, parking field 6. Lunch will be served and entertainment will include a live band. Fire Department Car Show

The third annual Hicksville Fire Department Car Show and Barbecue Cookoff will be held on Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cantiague Park on West John Street. Net proceeds from the show will benefit the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. Judged show in 40 classes. Fun for the whole family. Music by DJ Rich. Spectator admission is $5, under 12 years old free.
