Lorraine Miller of Port Washington won the Living Now Book Award for her book Bliss Cleanse: Your Two-Week Guide to Greater Health & Happiness (co-authored by Lindsey Smith). She won the silver award in the health and wellness category.
The award honors books that improve lives in wholesome, Earth-friendly ways. The Bliss Cleanse is a holistic approach that allows you to cleanse body, mind, and spirit, Miller says. The cleanse includes 101 seasonal recipes, daily inspirational tips and weekly meal guides to help release toxins and uncover deep emotional issues that may be holding you back from living your best life and having your best health, according to Miller.
The award winners were chosen from newly published books in lifestyle categories from cooking and parenting to wellness and spirituality. In all, 107 gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded in 34 categories, out of 545 total entries.
Miller is one of the featured authors who will be appearing at the upcoming Independent Authors event at the Dolphin Bookshop and Cafe in Port Washington, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
