Everything has been working in favor of the girls volleyball squad at Division this year. They’ve continued their remarkable season after an effortless win last Wednesday against Westbury High School. Division slayed the Green Dragons in straight sets, 25-11, 25-10, 25-6. Not only have Division been undefeated the entire season but they’ve also clinched the Conference A-III title with a perfect 14-0 record.
The team managed to knock in an impressive 23 aces in their last match at Levittown. Amanda Pataky was the top contributor with four aces, five kills, and one block. Notable performances from Wednesday’s matinee include four aces and two assists from Brianna Demilia and Alexis Alvino’s three aces and three assists. The entire squad seemed to play to perfection, while Westbury struggled to return the ball for the most part of the match. Coach Nicole Loscalzo’s team cruised throughout the match, defeating Westbury in 45 minutes.
Not only have Division been instrumental through their brilliant wins this season, but they have also helped raise $1,400 for breast cancer research during their victory against Jericho High School on October 8.
