Both of Levittown’s MacArthur High School bowling teams concluded their seasons with strong finishes—placing third overall in the recent Nassau County bowling tournaments.
During the county competition, the boys bowling team advanced as the 10th seed, but bowled some of the best games of the tournament, proving to be one of the team’s best in school history. Coaches Chris Leahy and John Nessler congratulated seniors Rob
Andreoli, Anthony Cassanetto, Dan Saugar, Dan Semonella, Brian Thivierge, Brandon Weiss and freshman Mike Andreoli on a terrific season.
After entering the county tournament in fifth place, the girls bowling team finished in third place after defeating Farmingdale in all three afternoon matches. For the six-game tournament, the team scored a total wood count of 5,116. Congratulations to Amanda DeLisi, Kerri DeLisi, Diana Merlini, RoseMarie Snyder and Christina Thompson.
