Obituary: James Barbour

James Morse Barbour of Levittown, passed away on May 21, 2014 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Rita.  Loving father of James, and Meredith Markfield (David). Cherished grandfather of Evan, Keith, Scott, Allison, Daniel, Malin, and Oliver. Adored great-grandfather of Gabrielle, Cameron, Devin, Griffin, and Jack. Proud WWII Staff Sargent Air Force Veteran. District Treasurer for the Island Tree’s School District for 36 years. Dedicated member of the Wantagh American Legion Post No. 1273. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. James R.C. Church with interment in St. John of Jerusalem Cemetery, Levittown, NY. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh.
