Obituary: Doherty, Linda

Linda Doherty of West Islip, caring mother of Dena, Marc and Tyler, wife of Richard Doherty, passed away on Aug. 24, at the Visiting Nurses of Suffolk Hospice House in East Northport after losing her battle with cancer. Linda was a long-time Girl Scout leader, past PTA/SEPTA President, tireless advocate, loyal firend and proud volunteer in many capacities at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Babylon. A memorial service will be celebrated in her honor at Cross of Christ at a future date.
