The Island Trees Youth Wrestlers competed on Jan. 18 at the annual Islip Buccaneers Youth Wrestling Tournament. The tournament had more than 400 kids from Nassau and Suffolk counties.
In the Novice Division, Island Trees had three champions in Anthony Arana, Vinny Butrico, and Ryan Mastropolo. Finishing is second place was Johnny Nadjek and in third place Ryan Romano. The boys wrestled against some of the toughest and highest quality of wrestlers in Suffolk and wrestled extremely well.
