MacArthur varsity boys basketball guard Ryan Cunningham has been selected to the all-county team, while teammates Greg Baumstein, Dean Peluso and Brian Perez were named all-conference.
The four seniors helped lead the Generals to the school’s first playoff win in 10 years, a 58-56 overtime win against Port Washington on Feb. 14.
Cunningham sank two free throws with 2.3 seconds remaining in overtime in that game to break a 56-all tie. He had a career-high 17 points in a 53-44 win against Island Trees on Dec. 23. He sank three three-pointers in a two-minute, 43-second span of the fourth quarter as MacArthur opened a double-digit lead.
