This isn’t the first time the school district has made top lists. Last year the district was named one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools In The United States by The Washington Post as well as one of the top high schools by U.S. News & World Report.
“While I don’t put too much emphasis on any of the ranking systems, it is always nice to be recognized for the excellent work of our students, teachers and administrators,” said Carle Place superintendent Dave Flatley. “The Carle Place community has always been so supportive of our schools, so it is important that we do our best to provide a high return on that investment.”
Other local districts that made the list were Jericho Senior High School (3), Great Neck South High School (7), Manhasset Secondary School (10), Garden City High School (41) and Mineola High School (51).
