Two Massapequa High School students recently earned scholarships through Nassau BOCES Barry Tech for their exemplary efforts both in and out of the classroom. The young scholars received their awards at the 2015 Barry Tech Scholarship Luncheon, held at the Joseph M. Barry Career & Technical Education Center.
Robert Collins, a Barry Tech aviation operations student, and Amanda Paci, a cosmetology student, each received a $100 CTE Achievement Award.
“These students have gone above and beyond their academics to demonstrate a genuine passion and commitment to their fields,” said Barry Tech Interim Principal Laurie Harris. “Part of the Nassau BOCES mission is to enable students of all ages and abilities to achieve their maximum potential. These scholarships help us to do just that, by providing them with financial, as well as educational, support.”
