Neal has been coaching for 10 years, six of which have been in Port.

“I have been coaching at Port for five years as an assistant coach prior to this year,” said Neal. “This is my sixth year at Port, and my first as a head coach. I have been coaching for 10 years. I used to coach club lacrosse and camps for Hofstra as well as various other club programs.”

Neal is originally from Colorado. He graduated from Hofstra, where he played lacrosse. “I got my undergrad degree in marketing at Hofstra while I played lacrosse, and also got my master’s in education from Hofstra as well. I am currently working towards a second masters in education administration. I currently teach PE and health.”

Neal’s assistant coaches are Bryan Badoloto, who graduated from Marquette University, and Connor Fleming, who graduated from SUNY Albany.

The team is in the Nassau County Conference A Division and Coach Neal has high aspirations for them this year.

“My hopes for this year is to make it to and win the Nassau County A Conference Championship,” said Neal. “Also, I hope to push the boys to work hard. I want them to be good people, strong student-athletes and role models.”

The junior varsity coaches are Head Coach Mike Widmer, a Port graduate, and Assistant Coach Rob Storrie, who is from Syosset.
