The Westbury Senior Center recently honored its volunteers at their annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

Volunteers work in every aspect of center life and a great deal of the center’s success is attributable to these wonderful people. Special recognition went to Diane Van Nooten, the Center’s Volunteer of the Year, for her many years of enthusiastically promoting exercise and sharing her technical expertise with her fellow members of the Center.

Westbury High School’s Future Business Leaders of America helped to make the luncheon special by blowing up balloons, setting tables and serving the meal. For the first time, delightful entertainment was provided by the Westbury Middle School’s chorus.

The Volunteer Recognition Luncheon was made possible by a grant from The Arbors Assisted Living and the Nassau County Office for the Aging, NY State Office for the Aging and the U.S. Administration on Aging.
