Hempstead Town Supervisor Anthony J. Santino (right), Councilman Anthony D’Esposito (second left) and Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad (left) celebrated the new foster home of Duffy, a cancer-stricken 8-year-old American Bulldog from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.
Duffy is being fostered by Sharon Faucett of Levittown. The town is also running a “Duffy Sent Me” pet adoption program for the month of May, during which all adoption fees will be waived.
